Dear Laura,
We wanted to write and let you know how wonderful "Claire" is doing. She arrived on a delayed flight into Phila Intl. The weather was super cold and the flight was delayed (possibly for the arrival of Prince Charles and Camilla that day) so we were worried that she would be upset and not well. She wasn't! She was in need of a bath but very happy and ready to play.
We named her "Manhattan" and call her "Mimi" for short which she responded to immediately. She LOVES the outdoors with our old dog, Macdougal, and they wear each other out running and playing with toys. When she comes in she plops down near the boots and sleeps like a log. My kids just laugh and play for hours with the two of them. Macdougal is a great big brother and shares EVERYTHING (toys, water bowl, bones, sleeping bed)
At night, Mac sleeps in our mudroom/laundry room that is gated off and so we tried to put Mimi in the kennel but she cried so hard. We took her out of the kennel and she cuddled up to Mac and never made another sound again. She always asks to go out when she has to potty and rarely makes a mistake in the house.
The only problem we've had is that she is so small, she fits through the gate and seems to LOVE to do that and she LOVE to chew on wires. She has a really neat habit of collecting things and putting them in her dog bed. She will drag toys and socks and babydolls...you name it! So cute.
I have enclosed some pictures of her here with us. We have taken a whole bunch but I won't bore you with them all. Needless to say we are very happy with your little angel and we hope her brothers and sisters have all found happy homes. She is a blessing here at ours. Thank you for everything!
